The route developers have dedicated significant effort to ensuring the safety of coastal climbing, with most bolts on seaside cliffs being glue-in inox anchors or inox bolts. Nevertheless, always remain vigilant as coastal climbing can be particularly hazardous, and consult guidebooks for re-bolting dates. Due to the high humidity during winters, there is also a focus on removing moss from certain routes in spring, so please assist when you can (without harming any protected species).
A clean climbing movement is gaining traction, and while some older areas may feature bolted cracks, modern crags typically accommodate trad climbing.
Overall, the majority of local climbers are generous in sharing their new developments and are welcoming to visitors, with only a few anecdotal exceptions in specific areas.
