Climbing in a beautiful overhanging rock.
Description
Newly built area, very pleasant rock, overhang climbing. Routes have only been tested with top belaying (secured solo), they are open for RP style climbs. Classification must be confirmed.
Access Issues
Routes 1 to 5 must be belayed from the ledge, where a 10-meter rope is stretched. However, the route into the cave is also secured with bolts.
Approach
Park at Krinakia beach in Xerokampos and walk through the canyon for about 500 meters. At the junction with the side branch of the canyon, continue straight into the main branch. The path is marked with red signs. We continue along the right side of the canyon, where there are sometimes short fixed ropes to overcome the more difficult sections.

Ethic
**General**
1. Don’t leave any rubbish behind.
2. Keep the noise down and enjoy the natural surroundings.
3. Don’t write the route name on the rock unless you are the original route-setter or first ascensionist.
4. Avoid using chalk.
5. Don’t use fixed gear for top-roping. Use your own carabiners or quickdraws until the last person is descending.
**Bolting**
1. Before setting new routes get in contact with the [Cretan Climbing Community](https://www.facebook.com/cretan.climbing.community).
2. Only use material (titanium) that is suitable to be used near the sea.
3. Respect local heritage and historical sites.
