Approach
From Plomari you are heading towards Palaioxori via Melinda. After you go past Melinda, follow the dirt road towards “PanagiaKrifti”. After approximately 2km, an a tight left turn there is a concrete fountain on the right side. This is the place where you can park your car.
The marked path starts by the fountain and leads you to the climbing sector in 15min.
History
Ιn September 2015 a climbing sector was created in Lesvos for the first time. It is
situated in the area 'PanagiaKrifti' less than 10km from Plomari, 12 km from Agios
Isidoros, approximately 50km from Mitilini and less than 30km from Vatera and
Agiassos, on the characteristic grey wall, between the edge that separates
'PanagiaKrifti' from 'Drota'. Twenty six sport climbing routes were bolted, with a
variety in difficulty, by the climber and climbing trainer certified from the Hellenic
Federation of Mountaineering and Climbing, Kostas Mougkolias.
