Description
This crag offers good protection from the wind and receives ample sunlight, so for optimal climbing conditions, the air temperature should be relatively low (for instance, a maximum of 12°C). Diedro and the routes to its left experience 2-3 hours of afternoon shade (starting around 3pm) during the winter months.
Access Issues
The areas located to the west of Sant Joan are subject to a climbing prohibition from December 31 to July 1. Additionally, it is permitted to bolt new routes provided that the Park is informed in advance. Certain sections of the cliff are permanently off-limits for bird protection, particularly between L'Escletxa and el Trinquet; signs clearly mark the specific limits.
Approach
Park at 41.2635698,0.8042597. You can access the area from Escaladei or via Raco de Missa; in both cases, the unpaved road can be quite challenging for a 2WD vehicle, but it is doable with caution. After that, it's a 15-minute walk.
