Unique Features And Strengths

Dry-tooling crag bolted by Bogdan Carlogea et al. in the course of several years (2012-2014?).

Description

Crag located on the left river bank, right above the main parking in Rasnoavei Gorges (where the metal roofs are). Features 6 dry-tooling routes with heights varying between 20 and 28m. From left to right, the routes follow a difficulty progression from advanced to expert, with one easier route in the far right. Most of the routes are set on quite friable rock, therefore care is advised when attempting them. The routes follow the main overhang and after crossing the roof finish on several extra meters on a very technical face, with difficult cruxes.

Access Issues

Extra care must be taken when either ascending or descending the exposed path that leads to the overhang, because if wet it becomes extremely slippery and full of mud, making falling a real danger.

Approach

The crag is located on the left river bank, right above the main parking spot, and its overhang can be easily seen from below.
