Approach
From Oberjettenberg follow the path to the Traunsteiner Hut. After the forest road barrier, take the first forest road to the left (about 250m after the barrier, yellow dot on tree). After a short while, the forest road leads to a huge pile of storm-damaged timber that has already been processed. Keep left up the steep road, follow the right fork at the top, after a few metres turn left and then after a few metres turn right again onto the crossroads path (cairns). After a short traverse you come to a steep path ("Schnellaufstieg"). Follow this (yellow markings) to the base of the waiting stone edge (bypassing some smaller accumulations of storm wood). There you meet the cross path which leads from the "Schrecksattel" under the west walls. Take this path up to the left, until you reach the cirque under the Wartsteinband. Here is a backpack depot (1 ½ hrs. 800 hm). Now cross eastwards on climbing tracks under the walls.
Ethic
Allgemeine Grundsätze, die Regeln zum Verhalten am Fels sowie die Vorgaben für Neuerschließungen sind dabei die Basis für ein funktionierendes Miteinander.
* Vorhandene Pfade als Zu- und Abstieg nutzen
* Ruhestörungen durch Lärm oder Beschallung vermeiden
* Nächtliches Klettern oder Bouldern bleiben lassen
* Ausgewiesene Sperrfristen aufgrund von Ansiedel-, Brut- und Aufzuchtphase von Felsbrütern respektieren
* Auf dauerhafte Materialdepots verzichten
* Neuerschließungen VORAB mit den Gebietsbetreuern abstimmen
* Veröffentlichung von Routen und Topos unterlassen
