Description
Single pitch climbing on the yellow brown walls and overhangs on the west side of the valley. Interesting tufa climbing in the cave!
The climbing here in west side story is very sharp and sea worn. As with the rest of Malta it is mostly trad climbing although from time to time there are people putting up bolted routes. However dont expect this to be a growing trend, bolting is discouraged.

Access Issues
Most crags enjoy easy access with short walk-ins, and most are accessible by bus. Be careful not to cross farmlands without permission.
Approach
Park on the main road along the promenade above the valley. A short metal staircase takes one from the road level down to a grassy terrace from where steps can be followed down into the valley. Alternatively walk rightwards along the cliff edge to reach bolted abseil points.
Ethic
Don't bolt here. There is a well established climbing community. If you seek to add routes contact either Climb MT (UIAA affiliated) or the Malta Rock Climbing Club in Malta, or Stevie Haston in Gozo. All new routes are now being equipped with titanium bolts and anchors.
