Description
Podstine was forgoten because the main path was blocked by a new built villa and no one knew of the rappel station put there by the first bolters. So only a few souls were visiting this crag per year. Also the expansion bolts were getting rusty so it needed a refresher.
Now the crag has a new path, new rappel station, ferrata style stepline to reach the crag and all routes that can be belayed from land have been rebolted with glue intitanium bolts, with additional routes bolted during the project.
Completely refreshed and equipped with new routes this crag is perfect for people that want to enjoy the vibes of a crag. The rock formation bellow the crag makes it seem like a private beach.
Approach
🅿️ (43.1769722, 16.4252086) just before the tunnel, or at the hotel
Driving to Hvar city, continuing towards fortress Fortica and passing it towards hotel Sirena in podstine bay. Once you pass hotel Sirena its 200m to the parking that is infront of a tunnel. There you will also encouter the first sign for the crag.
From the parking before the tunnel you follow the sight pointing on a path. You follow the path until you reach the cup of postine bay and go left following cliffs above the water, a path leads for 2 minutes through the woods and you come out at the rappel station for the crag.
