Access Issues
For bird protection reasons, Lauensteiner Kanzel, Große and Kleine Philipsklippe, and the Routes between "Extremist" and "Katerchen" at "Mäuerchen" are closed to climbing from February 1st to July 31st. In the case of late broods, extensions of individual closures until the end of August at the latest cannot be ruled out.
Cliffs that have not been incubated are expected to be released towards the end of April, those that have been incubated after the young birds have fledged (usually between the end of June and the end of July).

Aus Vogelschutzgründen sind die Lauensteiner Kanzel, die Große und Kleine Philipsklippe sowie die Routen zwischen „Extremist“ und „Katerchen“ am „Mäuerchen“ vom 1. Februar bis zum 31. Juli für den Kletterbetrieb gesperrt. Bei Spätbruten ist eine Verlängerung einzelner Sperrungen bis spätestens Ende August nicht auszuschließen. Nicht bebrütete Felsen werden voraussichtlich gegen Ende April freigegeben, bebrütete nach dem Ausfliegen der Jungvögel (meist zwischen Ende Juni und Ende Juli). Approach
Approach to Hohestein is an extra path directly up to the crag. In OpenStreetMaps is only the path to the Phillipsklippen, the path to Hohestein starts 120m further up the road (52.094982, 9.563034).
