Ethic
While technically the rock here is considered to be limestone, you should treat it more like a very brittle type of sandstone. Holds get weaker after rain, and excessive brushing can ruin the surface. With time, the surface of the rock is covered by a natural dark layer which makes it significantly more solid. Below it is the same bright, brittle rock as anywhere else. It is unknown whether chalk has a negative effect on the internal structure of the rock.
To Summarize:
* Wait for a day or two after heavy rain to avoid breaking holds. It is crucial to wait until there is no moisture deep within the rock, not just the surface.
* Avoid overbrushing. Only use brushes with soft bristles and do not brush for too long. It is impossible to get most holds fully clean because of the character of the rock.
* No sport or trad climbing; the rock is not strong enough to handle falls.
* Do not create artificial holds.
* Use chalk reasonably.
* Do not climb in the Roztocze National Park and consider the risk of breaking rock or damaging protected plants elsewhere.
