The route developers have dedicated significant effort to ensuring the safety of coastal climbing, with the majority of bolts on seaside cliffs being glue-in inox anchors or inox bolts. Nevertheless, it is crucial to remain vigilant as coastal climbing can be particularly hazardous, and it is advisable to consult guidebooks for re-bolting dates. Given the high humidity during winters, some attention is also given to removing moss from certain routes in the spring, so please lend a hand when you can (while being mindful of any protected species).
A clean climbing movement is gaining traction, meaning that although some older areas feature bolted cracks, modern crags typically allow for traditional climbing.
Overall, most local climbers are open to sharing their new developments and are generally welcoming to visitors, with only a few anecdotal exceptions in specific regions.
