The route developers have dedicated significant effort to ensure the safety of coastal climbing, with most bolts on seaside cliffs being glue-in inox anchors or inox bolts. Nevertheless, it is crucial to remain vigilant as coastal climbing can be particularly hazardous, and it is advisable to consult guidebooks for re-bolting dates. Given the high humidity during winters, some routes are cleaned of moss in the spring, so please contribute when possible (while ensuring no harm comes to protected species).
A clean climbing trend is gaining traction, so while some older areas may feature bolted cracks, modern crags typically allow for trad climbing.
Overall, the majority of local climbers are generous in sharing their new developments and are welcoming to visitors, with only a few anecdotal exceptions in certain specific areas.
