The route developers have dedicated significant effort to ensuring the safety of coastal climbing, utilizing glue-in inox anchors or inox bolts for most of the seaside cliffs. Nevertheless, always remain vigilant as coastal climbing can be particularly hazardous, and consult the guidebooks for re-bolting dates. Due to the high humidity during winters, some routes are cleaned of moss in the spring, so please contribute when you can (while being mindful of any protected species).
A clean climbing movement is gaining traction, meaning that while some older areas may feature bolted cracks, there is always space for trad climbing in modern crags.
Overall, the majority of local climbers are generous with sharing their new developments and are welcoming to visitors, with only a few anecdotal exceptions in certain specific areas.
