The route developers have dedicated considerable effort to ensuring the safety of coastal climbing, with the majority of bolts on seaside cliffs being glue-in inox anchors or inox bolts. However, it is crucial to remain vigilant as climbing along the coast can be particularly hazardous, and it's advisable to consult guidebooks for information on re-bolting dates. Given the high humidity during winters, there is also a focus on clearing moss from certain routes in the spring, so please lend a hand when you can (while ensuring no harm comes to protected species).
A clean climbing movement is gaining traction, meaning that while some older areas may feature bolted cracks, contemporary crags often allow for traditional climbing as well.
Overall, most local climbers are generous in sharing their new developments and are welcoming to visitors, with only a few isolated exceptions in specific regions.
